Science Congress Center Munich (SCC Munich) offers an all-inclusive package for conference facilities in the scientific field. It is located in the middle of the Galileo-Neue Mitte Garching Research Campus of Munich’s Technical University. Although the latter regularly books the spacious main lecture hall at SCC Munich, it’s mostly firms that hold their conferences, in-house exhibitions, and events there. There’s an extremely flexible choice of rooms with capacities ranging from ten to 1,300 people.
In addition to the lecture halls and individual rooms, the areas around the modern designer staircase in the heart of the building can also be booked – and are particularly suitable for receptions, exhibitions, or trade fairs. The Hanns Seidel Foundation Conference Center in the heart of Munich was opened in 2001 and extensively modernized in 2022. Germany’s ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel and ex-President Joachim Gauck were guests at the Conference Center during their time in office.
Over 600 seminars, conferences, and expert discussions are held here every year in seven event rooms offering an upscale event ambience for five to 460 people. All the rooms are equipped with permanently installed camera and microphone technology. What’s more, the garden and roof terrace can also be hired for events.

For uplifting events there’s no better place than Brainlab Tower. This listed tower at Munich’s old airport belongs to the medical technology company Brainlab and is certainly one of the most unusual event locations. From the tenth floor of the Sky Lounge there are unobstructed views of Munich, including spectacular sunsets. Ten different event areas can be hired as well as the roof terrace. In all, some 1,100 people can be accommodated in the 80-year-old building located right next to Munich Exhibition Center. The rooms and various outdoor areas can be flexibly adapted to meet an event organizer’s needs and any culinary wishes can be fulfilled at the restaurant with its live cooking and various bars.

Not far from Urban Colab and only 300 meters as the crow flies from the central train station are the historic buildings of FOM University Center Munich. This private higher education institution teaches seminal courses such as big data & business analytics.
23 different lecture halls and seminar rooms with a total area of over 3,000 m2 and capacities ranging from ten to 196 people can be booked. Most of the rooms have parliamentary seating. FOM University Center is particularly suitable for lectures and training courses.

If you’re looking for rooms for a film-ready event, there’s no better location than the University of Television and Film (HFF), where the famous German director Doris Dörrie once studied. The HFF particularly likes to rent out its premises to MICE events in the film and television field. The German Short Film Festival, for example, was staged here in the past. The building itself was only constructed in 2011 and stands out for its impressive architecture. Hardly surprisingly for a film school, you can not only hire the impressive foyer and standard seminar rooms but also various cinemas.
The largest of them is the main auditorium (Audimax) with 248 regular seats and a gallery offering 78 additional seats. The HFF also has a cafeteria and shares the city-center building with Munich’s Museum of Egyptian Art.

Just south of Munich, this Akademie enjoys a fantastic location where state-of-the-art conference technology is housed in eight rooms of a 19th-century castle with an enchanting park. The largest of the rooms, the prestigious music hall, can accommodate up to 220 people. Other highlights of the Akademie include five salons, which are inspiring places for more intimate evening conversations, and the extensive castle park. Catering is undertaken by the castle's own kitchen staff. The chapel offers space for silent meditation, while exclusive access to the nearby lake offers great swimming with views across Lake Starnberg to the Wetterstein Alps. A total of 64 guest rooms in the old castle, the guest house, and the cavalier building can also accommodate events lasting several days.
